Undergraduate Application Requirements and Deadlines

Applications that are submitted with all of the required documents are reviewed on a rolling basis, and our commitment is to release admission decisions by the specified date for each application deadline. Although you may submit an incomplete application, we cannot review your application until all required materials have been submitted. While we strive to release decisions by the published decision release dates, we cannot guarantee this for incomplete applications. We strongly encourage you to submit your application early and review the application requirements carefully to guarantee the submission of all necessary documents for the completion of your application.

We highly recommend that international students seeking a student visa submit their applications by the earliest deadline. This suggested timeline ensures ample time for the processing of student visas.

If admitted, the deposit is due 30 days after the decision. The deposit deadline date is stated in your acceptance letter.

NYU SPS welcomes international students from all over the world. Accepted students who wish to enroll in an NYU SPS degree program must adhere to the following policy for securing the appropriate visa to study in the U.S.

All international students who plan to travel to the U.S. to participate in their NY classes should enter the U.S. in a visa category that permits study. Entering the U.S. with a tourist visa (B-1 or B-2 visa) or ESTA (visa-waiver program) is a violation of status and is not advisable. We encourage our international students to apply for an F-1 student visa.

If you require a visa to study in the United States, you must submit your I-20/DS-2019 application to the Office of Global Services (OGS).

If you have questions about determining your visa status, please contact the Office of Global Services at newinternationalstudents@nyu.edu.
