The Master’s (MS) in Global Sport offered by the NYU SPS Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport is a 36-credit, low-residency master’s degree program that is completed in just 12 months, beginning in September of each year. This global sport management degree is designed for busy professionals from around the world. It offers the convenience of online study with the ability to network in person. It is an online sports management master’s degree that requires only four 1-week residencies in New York City and at NYU global locations. Students in the program acquire comprehensive knowledge and critical skills in key facets of sports business, with a focus on international sport management. Courses familiarize students with sports digital media and marketing; sports analytics; event planning and promotion for global sport events; international sports law; and sports finance, economics, and revenue strategies.

If you’ve considered earning a degree in international sport management to advance your career, the MS in Global Sport can provide the specialized knowledge and skills to set you apart. *The Fall 2024 MS in Global Sport Scholarship is non-transferable to any other NYU SPS program and is non-deferrable to any semester other than Fall 2024. The scholarship amount is subject to availability.

The four, 1-week residencies, which play a critical role in providing an insider’s view of the underlying cultural, business, financial, and social influences that affect sports teams, organizations, and events/competitions around the world, provide a truly eye-opening experience for those who wish to pursue a career as a global sport professional. Tokyo was a recent destination as it geared up for the 2020 Olympics. Students toured the city and the sites of the games, spending time with organizers.
