Jessica Copen is a senior-level communication professional specializing in public policy writing, media strategy, speechwriting, video scriptwriting, and social media messaging. Her current role as a science writer and editor for The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) builds on her previous experience as the lead speechwriter for CDC's Deputy Director of Public Health Preparedness and Response. Jessica has delivered communications strategy counsel to senior-level public officials, including a Mayor (Los Angeles) and Governor (New York), strengthening their influence with the media and key constituents. Her multimedia brand messaging for various Deloitte LP audiences effectively built consensus for the Deloitte Leadership Center launch. Jessica has also written speeches, blog postings, and internal brand messaging for UNICEF's Executive Director, highlighting the organization's role as the "global voice" for women and children.
