The Associate of Applied Science in Business will prepare you to function effectively in a business organization. You will learn how to use quantitative and reasoning skills in accounting, economics, and marketing. You also will build knowledge about different economies, cultures, and approaches to conducting business around the world.

Major Curriculum
With the insights gained and the skills acquired through the AAS in Business, you are well equipped to advance in your current career or to pursue a bachelor’s degree in:

The degree is a 60 credit program consisting of a required set of core courses (32 credits) and required courses (28 credits)
Required Major Courses
Students are required to take all of the following courses.
Writing
The following courses may be required based on a writing placement assessment, and should be successfully completed within the first three semesters.
Critical Thinking
Students are required to take the following course.
Quantitative Reasoning
Students, in close consultation with their advisor, select Math 1 and Math II or one of the following other courses based on a math placement assessment.
Scientific Issues
Students select one of the following courses in consultation with their advisor.

Literary and Artistic Expressions

Admissions Criteria
Applications will be reviewed for evidence of:
Academic preparedness suggestive of success at the associate level
Personal attributes that predict readiness for college-level work (e.g., motivation to learn, time management, personal responsibility, maturity)
Self-reflection on reasons for pursuing a college degree and how the degree will advance one’s personal or career goals
